My name is Joe Jennings and I’m a solar advocate in Southern California. My mission is to make solar easy, and affordable. ABOUT SOLARJOE
I’ve lived in Palos Verdes for 20 years with my wife and our two sons, and have called the South Bay home for more than 30 years. I studied business management and marketing with a minor in Spanish at Cal Poly Pomona and have worked in advertising for over 30 years in the South Bay filming commercials for a vast number of brands including Coke, Lexus, BMW, Infiniti, Ford, Budweiser and more. I believe in sustainable technologies and have dedicated myself to marketing a variety of solar systems for the companies that provide them with an emphasis on home and roof mounted systems.
STUNT WORK
I film skydiving stunts for movies and commercials. Producers send me storyboards and I help them to coordinate the team. Then I fly a helmet mounted movie camera to film the action. My credits include Charlie’s Angels, Air Force One, Point Break, Bay Watch, San Andreas, MacGyver, IMAX, and hundreds of TV shows and commercials. To date, I’ve made 13,000+ skydives and my resume includes two Emmy Awards and four world championship titles including gold at the XGames. Here is my skydiving website: SKYDIVE.TV
THE NEXT CHAPTER
I love skydiving and still make close to 500 jumps per year, but athletic careers don’t last forever. So the question became “What next?”, a simple question that took almost five years to answer. “What next” needed to be something I could be excited about, and something I could believe in. Over time, solar became the answer I was searching for. Its an emerging and exciting technology that serves the greater good of humanity. What could be better than that?!
